Rick,
That is probably the best and least sloppy thing that I've heard Paul "Ace" Frehley play in years! It clearly sounds like him but how refreshing to hear him successfully attempt something different and new from a style perspective. He actually is branching out some here and attempted some phrazing and melody as well as some false harmonics and some simple tapping.

I didn't hate this at all and I actually truly wish good things for Ace. This to me offers hope that he hasn't damaged his brain and motor skills so badly that he doesn't have the capacity to improve.

How recent is this recording? If it is fairly recent then I would find that encouraging for Ace. To date since he has been sober I haven't noticed any improvement in his playing until possible now?

Good for Ace

Kev

Give me CC over this any day!!!!
Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains! :(

He just needs a good producer to ride his ass and shape up his phrasing and certain note selections. I can control the pitch of my farts better than that last CLIMATIC note he hit.

The last note I agree was more "wrong note Ace"

At 2:30 he starts the the type of playing that I have been bagging on him for years for. I have often likened him to a little kid spazzing on his 1st guitar that he got for Christmas. Really horrible unprofessional playing but I really think that Ricks post is much better than this except for the last note LOL :-)

Great Post Rick :-)
