Re: phone
If you got a mac computer, I'd get the iPhone. Seemless integration. Must say I do like the slick big screen of the galaxy s3. But I don't know how great the OS is on it. And in a way the big screen on the S3 (making the overall phone bigger) is a step backwards in a way,,,like going back to an O2. Go play with both & see which one is for you.
I got Jesus in my fax machine. I saw Ho Chi Minh down @ Burger King. I dated Vinnie Vincent as a Drag Queen. I still don't understand a f**kin' thing.
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass and I'm all out of bubble gum.

Re: phone
The Note is just waaaay too huge. The S3 is better if you like Android. I ould get an iPhone 5 if I was getting a new phone today still. Every app is available and the accessories are everywhere. Just today I saw some people asking for Android support for something where there is an IOS app available and my new car stereo has iPhone integration, love it.

Just don't use Apple Maps!!!!
I have an iPhone 4, still runs nearly flawlessly! Only an occasional "stuck on headphones" foible! Don't think I'll upgrade in Feb when it's due, no need too. 4G not in my town so, if it ain't broke.......

Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains!
Re: phone
I think when they moved production of macs 5 or 6 years ago from California to China pissed me off. They were already naking huge profits so no need to move to China but they did so they can increase profit on macs... Foxxcom makes iPhone and many others. At least its made in Brazil for a change.

Re: phone
Yer, but that not a bug/problem that is isolated to Apple. Everyone company sources the cheapest ways to make a product. This is a world issue. It's easy to stop. Everyone stop consuming, don't up grade, stop buy crap to fill that void. Will that happen. NO!

Re: phone
I've had iPhones for years and loved them. I have the iPhone 4 currently and have had it for about 3 years. It is in pretty rough shape because I use it for everything: Phone, computer, calendar, map, calculator, blood glucose meter, recorder, game console, camera, etc. Since I take it everywhere and haven't used a case in 2 years (lazy), it's pretty roughed up. I plan on upgrading to the iPhone 5 in a few weeks once the furor settles down and you don't have to drive all over town hunting to find the configuration you'd like.
For me it's too convenient as a graphic artist and Mac user to be able to sync everything wirelessly into iTunes as soon as I walk into the back door of my house and back up my stuff without even having to think about it.

Re: phone
i bought the note 2 and my wife the iphone 5 at the same time. I don't like the design of the note as much as the iphone but I like android a touch better. my wife got a 65gb for free with an upgrade and she has had the same phone for 5 years before.

I would never do the cloud...unless you were made of money. As soon as you do, you realize that you want everything up there and how little space they give you for free.

Re: phone
The note is so massive man and I didn't like Android when I had one for work, IOS is so much smoother and better.
I can't see myself getting anything but an iPhone in the future.

Re: phone
The only thing I miss from the S2 that I had was Swype text, but voice text kicks ass on the iPhone.
Either way, I was happy to ignore that phone on weekends and I have gone back to a Blackberry for work, it's a good corporate phone. The 9900 is the best one yet but no competition for Android or IOS.
Android has too many crappy phones with no support. Only the higher end ones with good screens are worth getting. We trialled a lot of midrange Android phones and they suck balls. They are all stuck on 2.3 of Android too, so the sucky mess is not going to improve, nor will the crap screen get any better.

Re: phone
What an ordeal getting this iPhone activated was! AT&T was a fucking nightmare. The phones were shipped to us and were supposed to activate just by going through a 4 or 5 screen set-up process. Of course it didn't work. So I was on the land-line with AT&T customer service for 1.5 hours getting them activated, which included popping the SIM cards...the lady telling me the SIM cards were bad and that I'd have to go to the AT&T store to exchange them for new ones the next day...to finally getting the activated when I threw an ENORMOUS (some might say unwarranted) fit and now I have a 60gb iPhone5.
It is super light compared to my old iPhone4. The 4G is surprisingly fast. The sound quality is very nice. The speed is great. I haven't had a chance to play around with a lot of the other features yet, but apart from the shitty customer service, I am pleased.

What are atts tariffs.. my dad tells me they are much higher in the states than europe. My wifes iphone 5 64gb was free upgrade. She has 2000 mins 5000 network to network on top of that and unlimited data for just over 50 bucks a month inc taxes.
Bye Bye
Re: phone
My plan is grandfathered in from SO many years ago, but I have one of the true AT&T unlimited everything plans...unlimited anytime calls, unlimited texts, unlimited data. I think it's like $95 per phone. We also keep an AT&T land-line that we almost never use anymore that costs us $30 per month.
