I got Jesus in my fax machine. I saw Ho Chi Minh down @ Burger King. I dated Vinnie Vincent as a Drag Queen. I still don't understand a f**kin' thing.
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass and I'm all out of bubble gum.

Chris will spill the beans soon as far as the guests.
I will say this, Chris is VERY CONCERNED for Vinnie . These shows are not done to upset him .
The handful of us that have done some digging are actually trying to get to the bottom of things JUST IN CASE Vinnie really does have serious issues/problems.
Some may say that it is no ones business, but when Vinnie's behavior has affected close friends, action has to be taken. Everything is being done out of respect and care for Vinnie.

I am saying that Chris and The Decibel Geek team really care about the welfare of Vinnie and those close to him.
Chris wants things to be positive and doesn't want his show to turn into TMZ quality journalism.
They extend an opportunity in each episode to Vinnie for him to defend what the people being interviewed have said.
They are approaching this as fans that want to see Vinnie defend himself , come clean, and utilize his GOD-Given talent.

Looking forward to this.
As much as I dont see a whole lot of positives it would be great to hear a db geek show which is more technical and positive about vinnies playing etc. Maybe with jack from treasure and some guitar players and writers talking about his qualities.
I love the pod casts. A great insight and I think a more technical show would be a great addition.

I just had to come back after seeing this. WOW, I'm glad you pointed all that out. To think, I and pretty much anyone else who heard these--thought it was just a Vinnie trash session....something much worse than TMZ. The laughing about Vinnie and his problems, you name it. Really shows alot of concern.
Also, how nice, so many lies can be told about Vinnie and he has the opportunity to respond to them. There ya go. Trash someone and then get rewarded with it by an interview refuting all the b.s.
I wish I had been told that was the goal from the beginning. I might not have thought they were Vinnie hatchet jobs.

Re: 12/6/12
Brainsaw, You are entitled to your opinions but consider this:
The two hosts are huge fans of Vinnie and want to know as much as they can about one of their favorite musicians so they interview people who have worked with him. They have asked open questions that can lead in any direction and these people have offered up THEIR SIDE of the story.
The hosts of The Decibel Geek know that there are more sides of the story that exist and have invited Vinnie on the show to set these group of people straight.
I will agree that it is a tool to get Vinnie to come out of seclusion. For the hardcore fans here, it is still difficult to hear such stories about Vinnie and we just want him to defend himself.
Sounds pretty clear to me .

Vinnie has or had the chance to respond and its all true what has been said.
If you call it lies then please tell us what those lies are? Its all true. These guys are not lying.

I wonder what kind of media player you listened to the episodes with but it's pretty amazing that the versions of the episodes that YOU heard didn't include all of the complimentary things said about Vinnie, his songwriting, his playing, etc. Strange that you pinpoint a few comments made by the interview subjects (NOT by the hosts) and completely overlook the obvious love of Vinnie and his music.Brainsaw wrote:poserboy71 wrote:I am saying that Chris and The Decibel Geek team really care about the welfare of Vinnie and those close to him.

We didn't create Vinnie's track record with people; Vinnie did. Was it I, or my co-host, that was working with these people over the years? I don't remember recording a single note on any VV recording or personally filing a single lawsuit. As Rick said, we are trying to provide insight into a musician/writer that we admire. If the people we talk to have something positive or negative to share, that is their decision and it's also purely their opinion/recollection. If you know of some way to refute what they are saying, we're all ears.
If you think these episodes were trash/hatchet jobs, your mind would TRULY be blown at the amount of stuff that we've held back from reporting that we've heard. If I wasn't a fan, I would let loose with some of that stuff. But, out of respect for Vinnie and his music, I've kept plenty of stuff under wraps (and that's where it will stay; don't bother asking me about it, anyone).
You seem to take all of this stuff very personally and seem to have quite an insight into this enigmatic artist so I'll go ahead and let you know that this will more than likely be the FINAL thing I do on Vinnie Vincent. I'm a fan, and will always be a fan. But, to be accused of trying to trash someone when I'm doing the opposite and providing exposure to an artist that I've always admired and would love to hear music from (or even a single statement to clear things up), well, that's about enough for me to be ready to wash my hands of the whole situation and continue on with working/interviewing artists that appreciate their fan base and have a healthy desire to share their creativity with the people that are still around to be interested in it; rather than wasting time chasing ghosts online and elsewhere. That's my take on it.

Re: 12/6/12
I for one have enjoyed the shows and please know Brainsaw doesn't speak for everyone. The expression I laugh to keep from crying comes to mind...
It would really be nice to get Vinnies side of the story (as you have said in your Podcasts) but since that doesn't seem to be forthcoming what can you do? Again, I felt like you have handled this as delicately as you can...its not like you said VINNE YOU SCUMBAG GET OVER YOURSELF! What comes through to me is you are a fan of Vinnie's music like me and just want to bring as much relevant info about his music to the forefront as you can

Sure there will always be a spare chair for Vinnie if he wants to defend himself on your show.

What a shame that Vinnie as talented as he is can never man up and ALWAYS likens himself to the victim.Brainsaw wrote:poserboy71 wrote:I am saying that Chris and The Decibel Geek team really care about the welfare of Vinnie and those close to him.

What is really Vinnie's side and opinions towards multiple factual examples of:
Theft (Archives, Guitars, Songs, Website)
Drug Abuse (Meth in the early 80's)
Spousal Abuse (Diane and possibly his 1st wife)
Forgery (Legal Documents relating to TM1)
Renigging on business commitments (Kiss Expo's, Jackson, ESP, Ibanez, Washburn, Carvin, Roman and Pear Guitars)
Frivolous Lawsuits (Kiss and repeated threats to others)
Band and Business Problems Gettings Along With Others (Warrior, Kiss, Invasion and 2 record companies)
Internet Predatory Practices (Pretending to be multiple fictional persons on forums, websites and social media sites like Facebook)
I'm just getting started and I could keep going on but I will stop. These are not my accusations but are the accusations of many different people that have shared their interactions with Vincent Cusano. Can all these people and it's a large number all be wrong and lying? Common sense says NO! There is really only one person who can set the record straight and that is Mr. Cusano himself. I don't really care if it is all true but would rather just see the man own up to whatever is true and have a recogning before it's too late for him. Cusano could make amends by doing little more than than getting busy and doing something musically rather than squander his GOD Given Talent. Musically Mr. Cusano had very few peers and I know of few that are ignorant enough to not recognize his songwriting and playing talents.
Ultimately it's all up to Cusano

Chris has done an amazing job and these interviews will be around for decades if not centuries. I am sure people researching Kiss in 100 years in history class will come across these interviews.
they are not trash they are an insight. Also a lot of positive stuff has been said. Its just very hard to find people with anything positive to say about vinnie apart from his writing and playing.
I am still very interested in you (brianswaw) letting me know in detail what were lies so we can actually look into it? Are you saying the Kiss Expo stuff and the let freedom rock thing are all lies? Many other Kiss expo promoters from UK and USA (Wolverhampton/Atlanta/New Jersey) and others have also ran into big issues with Vinnie.

Yer lucky Chris is where the buck stops as far as VV bashing goes on his show. If it was others running it from this forum, VV would surly be getting a punch in the undies.
