Violent fantasies are "normal" in the domestic abuse cycle. Even if he is not the next OJ, isn't it bad enough? What Dino has said about Vinnie talking to a girl on the phone that night makes sense. He caused a problem. He set it up.

My ex husband threatened to commit suicide, and then when I went to save him, he held me in his arms with the knife turned on me. I never knew why he would do such a thing when I was trying to save his life until reading this information. I think he set the whole thing up to scare me. It was so effective, that I slipped out of his arms, ran for my life, and had the worst nightmares of my life afterward. He never made good on his threats to kill me if I left him. It's worse to stay. Fear is no way to live.

I don't know if Diane's living with him, or not. These kind of guys establish domination over the house. If you leave, you're homeless. Even if it's YOUR HOME. An abuser won't leave. It's a tactic. There are ways to get away. I've done it. If Diane ever comes around, she can PM me.
