In December 1991, Kiss and Ezrin returned to the studio to work on a new album. In a surprising move, they sought help from former guitarist Vinnie Vincent. According to Simmons: "Vinnie Vincent came up to me and apologized for causing the band all the grief while he was a member. He wanted to patch things up and wondered if I would consider writing some songs with him. Sure, I said. I wanted to let bygones be bygones. I called Paul and told him that Vinnie had apparently changed. Paul wrote songs with him as well. But before the album was released, Vinnie was up to his old tricks again. He reneged on a signed deal we had made and decided that he wanted to renegotiate. He eventually sued us and lost. As far as I was concerned, he was persona non grata forever."

What was Vinnie's idea on the renegotiation?
By 1996 he was loving KISS
but by 1997 he was giving a press conference
on how KISS destroyed his dreams.

in his newletter, Vinnie statd that G&P contacted him and also tha t after a while thery were back to the old tricks again,that was the reason for the split.

Again, i think it was a matter of publishing rights and money .

Gene was contradicting himself. In another interview, he claims that he found out Vinnie went bankrupt and decided to help him out by asking him to write for Revenge?

This what I am not understanding. The Expo in Sweden 1996, VV love KISS. So KISS's Revenge is release in May 1992. The expo is 96. VV burn his bridge again with KISS at/or just after Revenge. Then 3 to 4 years later, he can say a bad thing about them. Also seems delusional that he realizes that, at the time of this interview, it was 13 years that passed since he was in KISS, but he states at time 'it feels like yesterday'. He says how wonderful & fun it was being in KISS. I'm getting double speck mixed singles here. Then again he refers to himself like a leaf, the wind blows and it takes him. From this I gather, he's a person who is not anchored, not grounded. A person who doesn't know what he wants. He wants to be in KISS, but he also wants to be in his own band. But then again he wants to be in KISS, but he wants to be the Star. He doesn't want to be in his own bad, but he wants to be a solo artist. (evidence the E.P., which he refers to as an album, which he give no credit to Andre LaBelle for playing on it, instead the
V. Meister(drum machine?) gets credit.
He certainly is a strange guy. I'd say he got some mental issues going on.

that interview blows all the complaints he had of kiss out the window unless he says someone had a gun to his head.
he also said it to the guitar world guy in 1988 saying he has grown up since leaving kiss and he was sorry for causing kiss some issues (basically saying he was young).

Why he still complains about what they offered him in his contract? its something he should have forgotten a few moths after he left.

What I will say is if he comes on here and answers some big questions it would be good all round. We thought when he asked all but me back to the dv board for love and peace that that would be the moment that vvforums fans and vv would be back together in peace but it actually only made it worse.

If he comes back and stretches out an arm then great (i know that its too far for me but for everyone else it would be cool).

SOMEONE is going to need to budge. just pay the guy his money form way back in 83 and then everyone MOVE ON and KISS can go back to having him on as their primary writer. it would be very cool if they could hash things out VERY SOON. theres alot to be desired with the last 3 kiss albums

not a chance in hell. Vinnie has sued kiss so many times (and lost all). They can not stand him. No chance in hell that kiss would write with vv again and he knows it which I guess is why he changed from loving being in Kiss to hating it around the time of the reunion (as streetbeat pointed out).

Also why would they pay him? they already did. He was paid just not what vv wanted.

The truth is KISS don't NEED, need VV.
Putting the makeup back on, sucked all the wannabe (if they could have been) fans back in.
The REAL fans see through all the bullshit, but that doesn't matter.
Prime example. Sydney Australia. They sold out the first 'Monster' Concert & all the $1500 meets & greets pretty much overnight. Now a 2nd show is selling. Again the meets & greets will all sell out. $1500 to meet Paul, Gene & a couple of tribute-band ring-ins that put on Ace & Peter's make up. Do the fuckwits paying $1500 care that it is not the REAL THING. Apparently not as it sold out.
Right now KISS, could press a cow dung into a CD,& the moronic majority will still purchase it & tell the rest of us how freakin' dicky great it is.
Sadly KISS don't NEED VV. They don't NEED musical integrity or killer chops. The don't need attitude. All they need are a couple of 'YES' men that will do as they are told, so Paul & Gene can run to the finish line will their pockets filled with ca$h & laughing all the way to the bank. KISS isn't about the fans. It's might seem that way, as they are actually giving the 'fans ' what they want . (More like dictating to the fans what the fan will want & the fan ,being a mindless zombie fuck will compile to mediocrity). Like McDonald's fast food. I believe Vinnie wants to come back but it's too hard to make a splash back onthe scene so the easiest thing is to blame Paul and Gene and Paul.
