Good Morning Brainsaw,
Was Guitarmaggedon intended to be the same songs as Guitars From Hell with perhaps a some additional songs to be added?
Was Heavy Metal Poontang a song that was intended for Guitars from Hell or Guitarmaggedon?
There are 3 other newer songs that folks here are interested in "Ride the Serpent" "Cockteaser" and "Brainsaw" do you happen to know what Vinnie's thoughts were in regards to how many songs he wanted to put on Guitarmaggeddon? If you add all the songs that we have heard from Guitars from Hell, Euphoria and these 4 it seems too many for a single release so I have always wondered if it may have been Vinnie's intention that the 4 songs on Euphoria and these other 4 unreleased songs may be the components of the separate album called Guitarmageddon? To be clear some have speculated that Guitarmaggedon was just a renaming of Guitars From Hell.
What's the truth Brainsaw?
Thank you,
Kev

Good questions Kev, hopfully our enlightened friend can enlighten us as to the inner workings of Vinnie's mind in this matter.

Yeah. Cuz none of this time period makes much sense to me.
Open your window and see the real world

Come out of the shadows
Insecurity lies
In a heart afraid to listen

Re: Guitarmaggedon (For Brainsaw)
Guitarmageddon was just "Guitars From Hell" renamed pretty much.
GFH was going to be 14 or 15 tracks.
If/when Guitarmageddon ever sees the light of day....who knows what it will encompass.
If it were me, I'd release it in 2 parts. Maybe called Tribulation and then Guitarmageddon and have 8 song or so on each but then have it as an enhanced cd with some of the "making of" video included on each one.

Re: Guitarmaggedon (For Brainsaw)
Brainsaw: Do you have any ideas as to how much it would cost Vinnie to finish up (perhaps remaster?) not necessarily re-mix, those old G-Magg tapes?
Itunes in "high def"!, that would work (I think), they do have such a thing now I hear. Donald Fagen´s last album supposed to sound great on it./

Re: Guitarmaggedon (For Brainsaw)
I would love to know what the original cover for gfh was hat vv mentioned in kerrang.
Invincible would have been a good title as well or maybe for a best of release.
