Great source!! I'm sure they know what Ace's net worth is.

How many tours did Ace do with them?

Reunion Tour

Psycho Circus Tour

Farewell Tour

Lets just say for shits and giggles he did 250 shows during that time and got paid $50K a show.

The gross he would have made is $12,500,000 Take away taxes, management cut etc and he's down to around $6M net from all those shows.

He hasn't had that KISS money coming in for a long time. He loves to blow money. He probably has a net worth under $5M.

$35M is laughable!

Great source BTW!! Even funnier you believed it!

Did you bother to see what they have Peter listed at?

$2M

http://www.celebritynetworth.com/riches ... net-worth/

Where did Ace get the extra $33M that Peter didn't get????!!

Can't wait to see how you spin this one!

I love how this single-minded douche ASSUMES that Ace's only means of income is/was his salary from the post reunion tours. If you'd have bothered to do any kind of research at all you'd know that Ace gets a cut of royalties on all merch the bears the Space Ace trademark. During the last couple of tours Ace was getting a cut of the merch sales at the venues. Have you considered that maybe Ace has a better financial planner now and possibly has investments outside of KISS that have earned monies?

Great way to "slam" that persons post Brainsaw, you ignorant waste of space. Go masturbate some more to your fantasy world where Vinnie was the biggest rock star in the world. I bet you have 2 spiral bound notebooks; one where you write down your Vinnie facts and one where you draws pictures of yourself tonguing his asshole.

Pat Benatar's debut was released in Oct 79 and was gold by march 80. How was Vinnie out selling a album that went gold in five months and PLATINUM in Dec 80 ?

Pat Benatar's album wasn't even in the Billboard top 200 albums in 1979 at all. All that happened in 1980.

Chrysalis took out a full page ad for the single and mentioned the album in the Sept 15, 1979 issue. Now maybe it had something to do with the single "If You Think You Know How To Love Me" (the second single from the album that did nothing).

The first single was "I Need A Lover".

The third single was released in December of 1979-- Heartbreaker

That song and the fourth single released in Feb 1980 "We Live For Love" are what got Pat a gold album.

The Invasion on the other hand....flew off the shelves.....and re-orders came pouring in. They couldn't even meet demand after the plant went down for several weeks.

And from the CHICAGO TRIBUNE 1986

http://articles.chicagotribune.com/1986 ... rise-video

Hard rock guitarist Vinnie Vincent`s recently released debut album,

``The Vinnie Vincent Invasion,`` currently ranks as the fastest-selling debut record in the history of Chrysalis Records; meanwhile, the album has just gone gold in Iceland. . . .

Really you sight a tribune blurb that says it went gold in ""Ice Land "" ? that only had a entire population of 240,000 in 1986 ??? also a gold record standard today is only 5000 shipped " not sold" in Iceland plus there is no record of it being gold. You dont think this maybe a bit of hype?

From RIAA--- NOTE ( for some reason they show releace date of 1969 but was oct 79 )
BENATAR, PAT IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT DECEMBER 31, 1969 MARCH 25, 1980 CHRYSALIS STANDARD GOLD ALBUM SOLO

Here ya go... that means it sold 500,000 in five months

SLAUGHTER STICK IT TO YA JANUARY 15, 1990 MAY 11, 1990 CHRYSALIS STANDARD GOLD ALBUM

Again a debut Gold in 4 months...

We need to stop giving this jagoff any credence. He is taking obscure quotes, stats and information and using it to build ridiculous arguments. Then if someone else does, in essence, the same thing he tells them they are wrong.
The truth of the matter is, the record companies have always disseminated false information to make their artists sound as if they are selling and doing better than they were/are. To quote those articles and press releases 20 to 25 years later as factual is ludicrous. We all know that neither VVI record went Gold. We all would love it if they had or if they did now. Would the record company turn down the free money if the VVI album was suddenly selling again? No.
Did the relation of Slaughter to Vinnie to KISS have anything to do with initial burst of sales? Absolutely! So did a marketing push and heavy video rotation for UP ALL NIGHT. That does not change the fact that once it took root, it took on a life of it's own. Show me a Slaughter article where they really pumped up the VVI connection after the first 3 months? Post a scan of it. Link a YouTube of a TV interview where they talked about the connection. You can't? Why? Because it doesn't exist.

OK Brainsaw. Now go lick your own jizz off the pages off your Vinnie magazines, you jagoff.

Actually Slaughter had already received their gold albums on May 4. It really went gold in less than 3 months time. And I said, guess you missed it as well, that Slaughter would have broken the fastest selling record. But I also mentioned that the Slaughter LP was really the third VVI album.

Funny, after showing you chart positions (or lack of). The singles that bombed for Pat. That Pat didn't even enter the Billboard album charts until 1980, that you still whine about Pat going gold in 5 months.

Vinnie on the other hand, they shipped X amount of units (its been posted here before--no need for me to post it again--you'll just whine and dismiss it... and they had to ship out another 50,000 units the first week. Then they had to ship out another.....because the damn thing was flying off the shelves.

And that's why it was already at #64 on Billboard album charts and had spent X amount of weeks on the chart before Pat's album ever even entered the Billboard charts.

Nobody said, the fastest debut to GOLD.

And obviously you weren't a Vinnie fan back in the day, because everyone heard it going gold in Iceland. They declared it VINNIE VINCENT DAY there.

I bet you didn't know about the hit play in Sweeden either.

You really need to give it a rest.

Yeah, that's why Peter is bitching about how bad Ace and he got screwed on the merchandise income etc. SURE. And Ace didn't even get sober till around 2006.

The funny thing is...you just like he...will accept a joke (for fun) website as "proof" but reality doesn't matter and you want to dismiss that. It's really funny how some of your minds work around here.

Also funny how Ace is worth $35 and Peter $2M. SURE THING!

And of course this website goes through everyone's tax returns etc and can come up with a good estimate. NOT! Even the Forbes List is often way off and that's with a ton of researchers doing the work.

But thanks for sharing what you also believe is "real". No wonder you hate reality so much. You'd rather put your "faith" in a fun website as literal proof.

Who said I put my faith in that website, jagoff? I'm not even the one that referenced or posted it. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE how YOU can go to a website and post what THEY have listed and assume that it's FACT but if someone else goes to a different website and posts what is listed then YOU can say that it's bunk. I guess YOU have the monopoly on what is real and what is make believe.

Dear Lord have mercy. What an unbelievable tool of a jagoff!!!

I would also never consider the Slaughter album as the third VVI album, that is blashpemy, it' snot in the same league. It's missing a vital ingredient.

I actually like the first Slaughter album. Not anywhere nearly as much as the first VVI album and it falls a little below the second VVI album, but to call it the third VVI is a stretch.

But what else can you expect from such a jagoff?

I liked it ok, but the sugary lyrics about love and wanting etc got to me. I can see why it was popular, it's a good pop metal album, but not great like VVI.

I think I went into more detail on why I said that above.... in other thread.

You've got the guy who they already made the focus of the band there..

"All Systems Go" was already much watered down from the debut.

You've got a label/publicity machine etc that was there with them for the first two and continued (although there were various changes for the good.

Dumping Howard Marks organization from doing publicity...the changes at the top of the label.... EMI buying 50% stake etc..

You've got the large base of fans that were supporting VVI and alot of hem naturally followed Slaughter and purchased that first cd because of that....

Musically--no...it wasn't the third VVI album.

From the marketing already in place and working with the same team.....and having most of the same fan base etc......it was more or less Mark and Dana's third Chrysalis album and not debut. And yes, I know Mark didn't sing on the debut.

Benatar Bombed? She far from bombed ... and we were talking about album sales so fastest to gold would equate faster sales of albums, your whole diatribe is about sales ....
And I was actually playing music in regional bands by 1986 and had been in 14 different states by then and was very aware of Vinnie and actually had checked out the Treasure album around 78-79 because I was a rascals and Rundgren fan ,good lovin was a must play when I started playing out , but bands like the Clash Van Halen ACDC had my attention by then so I didn't give it much. ... I just didn't spend my life collecting every single clipping or obsessing over Vinnie. There was a lot of great music those years, so I was a bit occupied playing traveling enjoying life.. Am I a Vinnie fan yes, as I am of lots of artists.

Do I think he was the greatest of all time no I don't, talented yes hell of a player yes.. great writer yes. Do I have a box of news clippings and stool sample from him...nope,
In fact I am giving it up..I have a show to get ready for and need to work on a few new songs , but you just keep clippin those Vinnie head lines. Hey heres some trivia, guess what we called fans like you in 86 ... "corn eaters" Keep eat'n that corn Brainsaw... lol

I actually agree with you on this but what difference does it make? It's like you have to keep proving to everyone "hey, look, people DID love Vinnie!" You're pereaching to the choir, people here still love Vinnie's music... no matter how much it did or didn't sell. Beating stats from 30 years ago into our brains is a moot point.

Enlighten our pitiful minds with your almigty conceptual understanding. Quick answer this. I swear you won't find the answer on wikipedia:

A person is pushing a box up a hill. What force is related by Newton’s third law to the person’s force on the box?

Put that money where your mouth is, BRAINsaw!!!
Live life as though it is the third law; "to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction." Rules apply whether we are cognizant of them or oblivious.

I'm dying to hear the little turdball's response to this. Where is he at? Did he go wee-wee-wee all the way home to pile salty tears atop the salty loads splattered throughout his dozens of Kerwang magazines?

"Derr. But ert say in me magzine that Vinzie is best selling in Chrisless histry!! Must be true!! Hrmmm...why my thumb always smell like my boom-boom-hole?"

I get it. Ignore what you can't respond to or when you are proven completely wrong.

What an absolutely perfect way to PROVE that you are an complete and utter jagoff.

You're right. Unfortunately, I was using Google Books. And when it would go to the instances of Pat Benatar being mentioned...it didn't show anything in the chart section.

That's why I knew the dates for the full page ad in the magazine and saw the reviews etc...but nothing came up in the charts for her (without physically reading every damn line...and I certainly wasn't going to bother with that).

But regardless..... Pat didn't ship and have the re-orders that Vinnie Vincent Invasion did on their debut. It was huge and historic and especially when the video wasn't even played on MTV until the 9th week Invasion was on the charts.

Are you SUUURRRREEE there, jagoff? That certainly sounds like you are making an uninformed statement to me. How can we trust anything you say as fact if it turns out that your research methods are shoddy and, when your facts are proven wrong you make statements of an unproven nature?

Could it be that you are a total douchebag fraud, jagoff?

Yes, now go back to listening to the great sounds of Union and Bruce Kulick!

No wonder you hate that Vinnie did so well in sales. You're a Kulick fan!

Ouch! A hit! A palpable hit!

It's true everyone. He has found me out. My secret shame is revealed. I indeed like more than ONE recording artist. I've tried to keep it hidden lo these 41 years, but his mastery of the oratory arts has bested me.

Let me clear it from mine chest:
country music - yes, I listen to it!
rap music - yes, I listen to it!
comedy music - yes, I listen to it!
thrash metal music - yes, I listen to it!
classical music - yes, I listen to it!
blues music - yes, I listen to it!
soul music - yes, I listen to it!
theatrical music - yes, I listen to it!
big band music - yes, I listen to it!
jazz music - yes, I listen to it!
dixieland music - yes, I listen to it!

VINNIE FUCKING VINCENT FORGIVE ME! I HAVE LISTENED TO OTHER MUSIC!!!!

You are such a jagoff.

Genebaby wrote:The one thing I do remember hearing is that Invasion was the fastest selling (I think debut) album on Chrysalis, at the time. That was known to me.

Who knows what it took to achieve that status.

It or ASG still were not hit albums. HITS was not a hit album but Forever was a hit single.

It's spelled out in one of the them....how many they sold the first month and then with the re-orders coming in.

Didn't the Forever single go Platinum or at least Gold?

Not arguing BUT at least Pat is still touring and recording . Maybe we should be a Pat Benatar Fan Forum (PBFF) instead ? While we're at it , the PB  FF sure does sound good !!!!

She was great but you could think of alot more artists who put out far more product than Pat.

I mean after Gravity's Rainbow 1993.... she's released the same amount of product almost as Vinnie.

He put out The Ep/Euphoria and Speedball Jam

and she released Innamorata 1997 and Go 2003

Not really putting out a ton of new product...

Yes, she tours but I get sick of seeing her Husbands Name on the bill with her. NO ONE (or hardly anyone) is going to see him.

Well with seven platinum albums 20 albums total 222 songs, a few triple platinum... you can ease off if ya want.
There were reorders of a album that went platinum.. Brainsaw

But enough of Pat.. glad you at least acknowledged you were incorrect,

I go for NG . He is one of the smaller reasons why I wanted to play. The"PITD" video just slays me.

Do you have a little Paul Stanley or Ace Frehley in ya??? ;)

I think most guys were staring at the braless Pat and her eraser sized nips poking out.... and were screaming for them to get Neil off and put Pat back on.

When you went to a WARLOCK concert where you watching those guitar players and not Doro??? ;)

It's wild that the guitar he played in the video was sitting in a trash can in NG's garage a few years back.
Peter Baynes (RIP) was NG's tech that found the guitar and restored it.
I met Peter a few years before when he was RN's (Cheap Trick) tech.

I was working a Benatar show (approx. 10 years ago ?) and was catching up with Peter when I casually told him about my throbbing boner for that guitar. He told me that story...

NG has since released a signature model through BC Rich . The guitar has a questionable Bigsby on it.
If memory serves me correctly, I believe NG started using the BC Rich Eagle model because of his tenure in Rick Derringer's band.

At the time, NG was playing GMP guitars. I half jokingly asked Pete to ask NG to sell it to me because it was obvious that NG didn't care for it . Pete shot back with a grin, I'm sure he'll take $5,000.00.---- Meaning it wasn't for sale .

The new signature models go for about $1,000.00.
The older stuff? Not sure.

Funny thing, Usually when someone overprices something, it means that it isn't really for sale.

Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains! :(

I'm curious to see the stats for Huey Lewis because this dude was the SHIZZZ when I was in high school. I've no doubts HL & The News Chrysalis' stats for the period '84 to '89 would shit all over what Vinnie Vincent and his piss poor Invasion sold.
