Tommy Thayer's recent comments on Vinnie Vincent:
"I've only met him once or twice and it was right around [the 'Revenge'] era when he was in the studio doing demos with Gene, because they had written 'Unholy' and maybe a couple of others. I found him to be a really nice guy and he was always very friendly, and really a fantastic guitar player, too. A lot of people know him as a real shredder, playing really fast, especially on the Vinnie Vincent Invasion records and all that, but when he wants to he can actually play a very soulful, blues-based style. He's very good. A lot of people don't realize that. He's actually an excellent guitar player and obviously a great songwriter as well."
