What's with the RIAA obsession? Somebody needs to move out of his parents' basement.

Anomaly is a jack off. I think TheSphinx had some good points, especially in his/her opening post.
I got Jesus in my fax machine. I saw Ho Chi Minh down @ Burger King. I dated Vinnie Vincent as a Drag Queen. I still don't understand a f**kin' thing.

Eh. I don't see the great butt-kicking on either side. Sphinx made some good points (albeit his facts weren't straight) and Anomaly made some good points about contracts.

I didn't really see how Anomaly was acting like a total jackoff. Maybe I'm missing it. He presented his views, and Sphinx started acting arrogant. I thought Anomaly was pretty in the middle---not passively nice, not too rude. Normal.

I may have actually leaned towards Sphinx logic, if he didn't act like everybody in disagreement with him just fell off the haytruck. Disagreeing is fine. Acting like yours is the only intelligent OPINION is bull-headed.

That was my interpretation.

Its the same old circle jerk, I know more than you .. no you dont, yes I do, Vinnie saved Kiss .. no he didnt .. yes he did.. Ad nauseam..
The argument of what Vinnie contributed to a band he was in for two years 30 years ago is pretty stale.

The only real "fact's" that counts is, Vinnie has not contributed anything meaningful music wise in 17 years. And not released a real full album in 25 years.

Any argument about how or what Vinnie did or didn't do for Kiss ends like this... Kiss 9 band alums and ten years before Vinnie 9 albums and 29 years after Vinne , not counting COTN or LU ,solo 4, live albums 10 compilations 11 etc. Kiss still touring and putting out albums Vinnie nothing.

Touché. In the end Vinnie has lost big time and I will be seeing Kiss with my daughter next month while I eat Kiss ice blocks.

What songs do you enjoy more: The released Kiss shit or the unreleased Vinnie albums ?

Vinnie wins.

I'm at KissFaq as well, and I don't like Anomaly either.

Even if VV had been a saint and did everything KISS (Paul and Gene) wanted, he would have been booted out, just like they did to MSJ, what was on the the cards for Eric Carr, and what they did to Bruce. They would have had to put on the makeup so as to make the whole bullshit reunion money grab work anyway. And the 'real fans' want to see the catman and the spaceman.

I wish that Vinnie had stayed on for one more album (what turned out to be Animalize)and then recorded what would've surely been Alive III.
With a set list that would've included a huge chunk of Creatures, Lick It Up, and Animalize (w/Vinnie) his era would've been better represented rather than many people thinking they can just toss it off as a one off.
If he left after that I think he would've had a much more successful solo career.

Yes. Talented musically, he may be, but he just has this tendency to fuck it all up in grand style. More's the pity for all of us.
