re whiting gitfiddle parts

Post by 1031 »

I tried out a re- whiting process I am working on for guitar parts on the 88 strat I bought.... not 100% but a marked improvement ... Due to the fact you can not remove the covers on lace sensor pickups and replace them, it was a good candidate. Not a 100% complete success but a marked improvement ,

Looks great in the pics. Those parts had really creamed up huh?

My 89 Charvel 750XL still has pretty white binding. I got it in 93/94. I've seen newer guitars with yellow binding. I'm not sure what does it.

UV light does it. plus this one sat out of a case for years so a lot of funk there too.. oddly enough the process I am using uses UV with a chemical reaction....
