Re: Vinnie Vincent Jackson on Ebay
I, yi, yi!
And another one crawls out of the woodwork! Most interesting! If it's not an "Ed Roman" copy, then Drew doesn't have the only pink/silver one! Tempting.....but that middle pickup has ruined it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guess that's 3 with dual pickups then?
No serial number................ Drew's '88 has a serial number, my '89 has a serial number........curious???

Re: Vinnie Vincent Jackson on Ebay
Ok, I'm thinking it's legit. Ugly, but legit, as far as the whole guitar goes. It looks totally like something Jackson would have made in the late 80's. He has the case, and a story, if true, which tells us he doesn't know too much about these guitars. His dad may have asked to have no serial number recorded on the guitar, where it's seen maybe, or the guy may not know where to look.
The routes look ok, but without having the guitar in front of me, or seeing the work order we can't tell if the middle pickup is aftermarket for sure. It may be, the screws are not the same, or that may have been changed when the Dimarzio pickup was installed. The bridge pickup is a typical late 80's Jackson unit.
Horrible pale pink colour though, and that middle pickup is balls.

Re: Vinnie Vincent Jackson on Ebay
I told him where to find the serial and he tells me the second pickup must have come that way from Jackson as his dad did not add it after it came hone and get was the only owner.
I wish his dad had chosen cooler combos but hey, it was his custom guitar.

Cool! It's an '89 then! Nice to see he posted the dings on it too. They don't look too bad but still a little annoying. But what can you expect with such a large & pointy gitbox?!?!?

He doesn't mention the extra pickup still in the description and the tag shows only one J90C pickup!

So I list mine and then this guy comes out of the woodwork with his pink/silver. Talk about an opportunist with impeccably bad timing. He contacted me and I pretty much ignored him since he was such a d!ck for listing his at the same time as mine. BTW he got taken to the woodshed on that priceshramiac wrote:It's back up.............with a higher "buy now" price!!!!

Drew is that you brother? Did you forget the pass to VVV? Hang in there and at some point hopefully you will get the price that you desire and we are all pulling for you. None of us knew that other Pink Jackson existed.

You have to follow your heart but that guitar has been such a labor of love for you over the years from the purchase at a pawn shop to finding the original owner to having 3 members of the Invasion sign it. Shit it caused me pain for you the thought of you selling it. I'm a collector too although not with your investment, financial appreciation and artist connections to achieve signatures and letters of authenticity. It would pain me to sell a guitar that I had $500 in as they are my babies. To the best of my knowledge none of the remaining Jackson VVV's have been signed by any of the Invasion. There are sometimes rumors about Vinnie selling one of his which I believe would be worn and also with his value system be offered at over $100,000 with his signature only which only helps your cause towards getting your desire price. Your waterfall picture with all your artist guitars will live forever as one of the premiere guitar collection pictures of all time!
Respectfully,
Kev

I have a large photo of that rolled up somewhere. It's also in an issue of some guitar mag.shramiac wrote:Yes! Where is that picture? And the ones of the original owner?

I sold the splatter VM - still have a white one. Sold the BG strat and the white puzzle Vandy. Also sold the WRB3, the Luke Ibby, the Vandy Fernandes, The Ritz Rocket and the MAB Double Mach VII. I still have a lot of gear and don't plan on selling anything.
I'm going to have RF and Andre sign the VVV when they come to town. Still hopeful VV will come out into the light someday!
The original owner is in south Jersey. He has a FB page with the pics posted. He said he would reach out to me if he ever found the original paperwork. That was like 3 years ago.
Thanks for the kind words gents! It's all good~
