My idea posed as a question...
Have you (The Collective Heavyweights Here) thought about just shutting this forum down
and no longer talk / ponder / & discuss opinions about Vinnie anymore???
Give him what he 'says' he wants...ya' know?
I'd be willing to bet that he would miss everyone...he would miss everything.
Feel free to respond, would love to hear what everyone thinks.

Re: Here's An Idea...
With respect Eddie, We have brainstormed EVERY idea and it just doesn't matter.
We tried to have a Vinnie convention in Nashville years ago, offered the idea to Vinnie, no response.

Hi Eddie,
This forum exists because for some reason, once the first forum began in the 90's, there has been somewhere to discuss Vinnie things. The few fans he has are keen to talk Vinnie, even if it got fairly quiet at times, which it did in the 2000's once in a while.
If we shut this down another would just sprint up, its the way it has been over the years, as forums came and went for various reasons.
Technically we should all still be on DoubleV, but Vinnie finally came out of the woodwork and killed that place.
He can't do the same here so Vinnie fans will always have somewhere to call home, if they want.
He is a very lucky guy to have had a forum dedicated to himself for so long, which is a testament to his talents. His body of work is such that it invokes such passion in his fans.
The fact that he became a bit of a Howard Hughes enigma probably also helped fuel the interest.
For years it was a case of "where is Vinnie?" "does he read our threads" etc. Then, much to his legends discredit he did surface and crapped over everything and created the VVFF.
Now we know he's around and reads the threads. It was probably better before.

Yes he would miss it. He didn't like it on dv when it got quiet which is why I think he would announce things as coming soon to pick up the activity
Bye Bye
