Rick, take the 12 string bass. You will get in with that thing.

Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains!
Re: MAB looking for band members

Re: MAB looking for band members
Not at all. I said comparing Nitro to the first VVI is not fair. VVI in a landslide because it had everything.
Nitro was all about the extremes.
VVI ,while advertised as such, wasn't JUST about extremes. There are beautiful and purposeful subtleties to Vinnie's music
It is cool that Bobby Rock is the foundation for BOTH albums !!!

Re: MAB looking for band members
the drums were way better with nitro. that is a mind blowing performance from BR even with a Tama Set.
I liked Nitro it may not be as deep and rounded as VVI but its very unique and still has good tunes. Its almost like heavy metal jazz where every musician is trying to get heard.

Re: MAB looking for band members
i think really the Tama's I dont like are 90s onwards. The Kordia Artstar II that BR used with Nitro looked awful enough for me to like it but it did sound amazing.
Bye Bye
Re: MAB looking for band members
this is the exact set he used with nitro. a wave of brown. Sorry Cordia not kordia.

Bye Bye
Re: MAB looking for band members
MAB really wants to move forward and put Nitro behind him. There are some things that I won't post but I can tell you that there will never be a Nitro reunion. I can also tell you - had Mike known the guy from the phoner was going to make 50% of the conversation based on "nitro" Mike would have said "no thanks".

Nah, not really "bad" blood necessarily. Just "different" blood types...doublev2 wrote:Oh some bad blood . It was a good project though.

I got Jesus in my fax machine. I saw Ho Chi Minh down @ Burger King. I dated Vinnie Vincent as a Drag Queen. I still don't understand a f**kin' thing.

Re: MAB looking for band members
Michael's Dean Mach VII Dean Double guitar just arrived at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Ohio. It's going to go on display. Cool stuff! I've noodled on it quite a few times over the years.poserboy71 wrote:MAB is looking for band members for a Euro tour??? Michael has some local ties![]()

His agent Christy got the ball rolling to get it in there, so kudos to her. Dean is making MAB yet another new Double, with yet a different color scheme. These guitars take a pounding on the road, even with the Anvil cases. I've seen the damage time and time again. I personally think the Mach VII is the coolest design and that's why I got one of Michael's about six years ago (signed by MAB and Dean Z before he left the company when I was down in Florida). Glad I did! It's the only one now outside of the donated one. Mine has the matching headstocks which I really like.

This is really great for Michael. He's so dedicated and to say he's an awesome player is a gross understatement. I''m really lucky that I can call him a friend after many years now after having worked with him directly.

Re: MAB looking for band members
Neat!!! MAB's guitar is a just North of me. That would be a good reason to go through the museum again. When I'm in Cleveland, I usually go to the Rock Hall's gift shop and check things out.
I am actually working on getting my kiddies and myself AT LEAST one of the huge guitars(I know where for of them are and they are collecting dust) that were displayed in Cleveland a few years back. There are still a handful of them in the Rock Hall.
Gonna hang on in the living room:
