deaf, dumb, and deaf
I never understand stuff like this:
http://forums.metalsludge.tv/forums/vie ... 1&t=258801
I prefer the debut album's solos compared to ASG and I know they are mainly speaking of the debut.

Sorry PB can't read 'http://forums.metalsludge.tv/forums/vie ... 1&t=258801' right now, but will later, but.
I prefer ASG...It's more musical & structured. Don't get me wrong I love the first album, but ASG is has been thought through. The first album has parts that are manic & spear of the moment at times. It is a great exercise in extremes...like the first Nitro album was. I really like the layering of ASG. I think it was cool that he took parts of the first album & ASG & fused them in GFH.

I got Jesus in my fax machine. I saw Ho Chi Minh down @ Burger King. I dated Vinnie Vincent as a Drag Queen. I still don't understand a f**kin' thing.
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass and I'm all out of bubble gum.

I think they both have their place. The first record is like empire strikes back and the second return of the jedi . I am one of the few that thinks jedi is a fantastic film. Mark slaughter is the ewok element.

Dan was only comparing Nitro's 1st album to its 2nd, not to VVI.

jedi is so well put together and elegant as well as being beautifully filmed (I like that era as you have the old guys from the 50s and 60s camera and sound guys coming to the end of their careers mixing with the new guys who grew up with Apocylpse now and Taxi Driver) You can still see 1940s and 1950s techniques used in films like 'The Robe' 'Bad Day at Black Rock' . People who say jedi is weak are comaparing it against the earlier films. If that was the first film I think people would have loved it more.
Anyone seens Hidden Fortress. The inspiration for Star Wars?

Bad day at black rock!!! Man, Dino! Are you my Dad? He loves that film. Jedi suffers for me because it followed such a strong film and some dubious fuzzy characters. Though I do love it. Wonder what it would have been like if Spielberg HAD got to do it? Better or schlockier???

Richard Marquand did a great job after Irvin Kershner created a masterpiece with ESB! Very hard to follow up & he did very well to close the original trilogy
I love the ascent of Darth Vader from evil to good, it blew me away when I was 8 years old in the cinema watching the duel between Luke & Vader & knowing that they were father & son, crazy good!
Hey man, I am cool, I am the Breeze...

I love the direction that Vinnie was heading in with GFH. I would have loved to see him to continue to progress with that. But trying to choose which album I like out of the VVI albums is impossible for me. I love things about all of them.

That's an eazy choice GR
The obvious choice was the album
that had Back on the Streets
I do love that time of year though!

Gah! You are so right. haha. I can't choose! Each of them is just like choosing your favorite child, but I don't have any children. haha.Brooklyn_Born wrote:That's an eazy choice GRThe obvious choice was the album

Maybe I would just be better off to choose the 'Euphoria' album. Yes, I don't hardly think you can beat 'Get The Lead Out.' That is among my favorites of favorites.
