"Vinnie Vincent saved Kiss. It's just too bad he couldn't save himself." - Me
I've realized something, which is a sought of strange anomaly. (I don't know, maybe this just happens to me, but I get the feeling that alot of members here are in the same boat)
If I go on other forums, newz groups, pages dedicated to KISS & someone talks ill of Vinnie, it's like i get my back up & have the need to fight back. But when I'm here & knowing what I know of the deep dark secretes that make up this Jekyll & Hyde character Vinnie Vincent, I'm compelled to give him shit.
I suppose it come down to the whole idea of 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend'.
I can pay-out on VV, but no-one outside this forum can or has the right.
I got Jesus in my fax machine. I saw Ho Chi Minh down @ Burger King. I dated Vinnie Vincent as a Drag Queen. I still don't understand a f**kin' thing. I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass and I'm all out of bubble gum.

Im the same exact way! Here, we will speak the good, the bad and uflt of Vinnie...but anyone outside the forum who down talks him??? They're gettin it good from me and will not be tolerated! I find myself defending him quite often.
Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains!
I dont think its that unique of a situation, we all know hes a great musician and song writer we also all know hes a wreak of a human being. So we have a tendency to over compensate and protect the music side of things because its to hard to argue or deny his issues as a person.
I think its bit easier to separate the two for other musicians, because I don't believe there's one musician out there that does not know at least another personally that there character flaws have destroyed any chance they had at ever making it big or sustaining a career. Whether it be drugs, just a insufferable prick , thief or what ever. Some peoples talent at being an idiot over shadows there musical ability.
but regardless when ever their name is mentioned you go " That guy is hella good " and leave it at that.
Guitars good, drugs booze.. bad
The worldsbest qoute ever "take your Massengill-soaked vibrator from your wretched gutter clam"
I dont think with Vinnie I have a favorite at all, there is not enough material to pick and choose I tend to just put it in sections for what it is .. its all good, just some different than others.

The great thing about this podcast is that the kid loves Lick It Up and Creatures.
It's fun to hear him ramped up for the Vinnie era.
