I believe we have touched on this before but Shramiac brought this up to me on FB and it begs to be shown again.
Vinnie did INDEED have the RR Jackson guitars repaired and resprayed after his time in Kiss.
I am not sure why someone added gray to the tip of the headstock but this clearly shows that he had a respray on the headstock and most likely(under that photo touch-up) a repaired headstock.

Weird thing is that grey square at the end of the headstock that's been photoshopped on???
